Intramurals nixed for another week: Playoffs to resume on Monday

November 1, 2002 by Joel Weckerly

By Joel Weckerly, Sports Editor

For the second week in a row, intramural flag football playoff games were canceled because of bad weather.

Rainfall that hit Abilene hard most of this week combined with the precipitation from last week have made the intramural fields too wet and muddy to play on. Therefore, the games that were pushed forward from two weeks ago to this week will once again be pushed forward to next week.

The championship, recreational and pledge league playoff brackets will resume on Monday, Nov. 4. Games will also be played on Tuesday and Thursday, with the schedule almost identical for the following week. Football playoffs should conclude on Monday, Nov. 14.

Intramural basketball, which was supposed to begin Tuesday, Nov. 5, instead starts Monday, Nov. 11.
