Selected students among the best: Nine students nominated for 2003 Who’s Who honors

Nine ACU students in graduate programs have been nominated for the 2003 Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

“I’m very honored,” said Kelly Branch, a student from Colorado Springs, Colo. in the communication department. “It’s something that I can put on a resume, and just add to a list of accomplishments.

Students are chosen based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success, a recent press release said.

Leah Williams, a student from Burleson in the accounting department, said she was very excited and honored to receive the nomination.

“It’s satisfaction of a job well done in college,” she said, “in addition just knowing that someone thought enough of me and my activities and academics to nominate me.”

Students are nominated for Who’s Who from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning, all across the 50 states and in foreign countries as well.

The students nominated are: Samantha Adkins, Kelly Branch, Joe Walton Hale, Dwayne Hilty, David Kneip, Myles McCormack, Daniel Redden, Drienne Sneed and Leah Williams.
