I work as a correctional officer in the Boyd Unit. This is a very good article. If you are going to do this ministry just be aware that you are in a prison and rules must be followed.

Just like in the free world, there are good people in prison as well as bad, and often it is hard to know the difference – but that is God’s business. The fields are rich for harvest here. It probably is the richest mission field in the United States. May the Lord bless all those who choose to participate. You have a captive audience waiting for you. Lots of these people are honestly seeking.
