Nikki’s hosts Back to School Bash

Nikki’s Swirl Shoppe hosted its a Back to School Bash last Friday night.

The event ran from 8-10 p.m. Nikki’s gave away prizes every 15 minutes and gave customers 40 percent off their purchase just for tweeting about Nikki’s.

“It was a night at Nikki’s where everyone got to hang out, ” said Sarah Eaton, senior art and graphic design major and Nikki’s employee.

Phillip Bugg, an ACU student, and a couple of his friends were jamming and providing the nights entertainment.

Marissa Ferguson, junior family studies major, said, “It was a nice night and the band was cool. Of course the fro-yo was good too.”

According to Nikki’s’ general manager and ACU graduate Chelsea Gaulden, “We’re [Nikki’s] looking to have a fun environment, especially for the transfers and new students to show that we are a fun place to hang out on the weekends. We are open late and a fun place to be.”

Students who bought a frozen yogurt and were given a raffle ticket. Prizes consisted of yogurt, but also T-shirts, sunglasses, tank tops, hats and other items with Nikki’s logo that are sold at the shop.
