The Wildcats split their first two games of the 2012 season at the Hilltopper / Ratler Volleyball Classic on Friday.

The ‘Cats (1-1) lost their first match 3-1 to St. Edward’s University then rallied back to beat former Lone Star Conference foe Southwestern Oklahoma State University, 3-0.

St. Edward’s defeated ACU, 25-13, 25-13, 24-26, 25-17, while the team beat Southwestern Oklahoma State, 25-23, 25-13, 25-21.

The Wildcats will hit the courts again on Saturday at 1 p.m. to face Colorado State University-Pueblo at the Bill Greehey Arena located on St. Mary’s University’s campus in San Antonio. The ‘Cats will play their last game of the tournament at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The team will go to battle with Southeastern Oklahoma State University also at St. Mary’s.
