John Legend changes tune

September 6, 2013 by Alikay Wood

John Legend returned this week with his fourth studio album “Love in the Future.” Displaying an effortlessly cool vibe and his signature twist on R&B, Legend has created arguably his best work yet. Inspired largely by his relationship with fiance Chrissy Teigen, the album veers off the path of his usual tales of female conquests and, as the title suggests, paints a picture of a devoted man looking forward to a life with one woman.

"Love in the Future"

Legend brilliantly walks the line between R&B, hip hop and alternative, making his album accessible to a wide audience range. He sets himself apart from other hip-hop artists by displaying his impressive vocal talents. Highlights of the album include, “Made to Love” a catchy song with a tribal beat and “All of Me” a moving ballad.
