Country artist Sam Riggs to play in Abilene

September 4, 2015 by Mercedez Hernandez

Austin-based country artist Sam Riggs will perform at The Patio at La Nueva Luna Friday.

Riggs is a true Red Dirt artist whose musical influences include Garth Brooks and Ray Wylie Hubbard. His contemporary country-rock style has earned the up-and-comer a three-time spot on the Texas Music Chart’s Top 10 hits, with two of his songs making it onto the Texas Music Chart’s Top 100 songs of 2014.

Riggs has appeared on several country music shows including the nationally syndicated show Texas Music Scene T.V., which is hosted by Grammy-award-winning artist Ray Benson.

The singer also had his song “Collide” featured on the hit ABC drama Nashville in 2014.

Riggs has sold more than 30,000 digital singles and more than 10,000 full albums. He has most recently been featured online in Rolling Stone Country.

Tickets for the show are available for $10 and can be purchased at Chelsea Street Pub or online at abileneconcerts.com.
