SGA shares election results

The Student Government Association elections resulted in 1,155 voters and 34 congress members.

Freshman Class:

President: Rebekah Jones, runoff election

Vice President: Mikel-Ann Terry, 53.9 percent

Treasurer: Nicole Mallet, unopposed

Sophomore Class:

President: Caroline Fairly

Vice President: Anna Flatt, unopposed

Treasurer: Madison Shewmaker, 52.4 perecent

Junior Class:

President: Victor Huff, unopposed

Vice President: Sloan Polvado, unopposed

Treasurer: Andrea Fraser, unopposed

Senior Class:

President: Matthew Williams, 54.7 percent

Vice President: Jessica King won with 61.1 percent

Treasurer: Shelby Watson, unopposed

Residential Representatives:

Gardner: Madison Morel

Sikes: Emily Tiras

Nelson: Adriana Garza and Karissa Nickish

Mabee: Royce Clough and Matt Ferguson

Smith: Andrew Maldonado

Dillard: Emily Goulet and Isabella Clendennen

Edwards: Joshua Loughren

Barrett: Nicholas Chapman

Off Campus: Nina Allahverdi and Evan Rodriguez

Academic College Representatives:

College of Arts and Sciences: Clayton Cooper, Corbin Stiefer, Ellie Mullins, Louis Sanchez, Meagan Benson, Shekinah Kahongo, Yves Ngenzi

College of Business Administration: Jessica “Gracie” Pennington, Morgan Sterling, Daniel Sherman

Special Interest Representatives:

Athletics: Logan Chapman

Multicultural Clubs: Jemimah Wavamunno and Olivier Iryamukuru

According to SGA Press Secretary, Mikaela Clinton, students are encouraged to continue to apply for appointed positions in Congress through the link at acusga.com/getinvolved. Students are not required have previously run for any elected position to be eligible for application, and can apply until Monday at 11 a.m.

BREAKING: Robert D. “Bob” Hunter, vice president emeritus, passed away Saturday. Hunter served as a representative of the 71st district of Texas and worked part time with ACU until 2013.
