ACU is better together

October 10, 2018 by Breven Campbell

This Homecoming, ACU is welcoming back the graduate classes from years ending with a 3 or 8.

Homecoming is an eventful time for alumni and current students. The weekend will consist of events such as: club breakfasts, a parade, Chapel, tailgating and sporting events.

The theme for this years homecoming is “Better Together.”

“The theme emphasizes our great alumni and how even though we are spread out throughout the world we are always better together,” said Craig Fisher, director of alumni relations.

Fisher said Homecoming is a great opportunity to remind ourselves of the relationships that began at ACU.

“Coming back to campus for Homecoming and other events gives our alumni the opportunity to see the campus again and the enhancements made since their last visit,” said Fisher.

With new buildings on campus, such as the Onstead Science Center and stadiums like Elmer Gray and Wildcat Stadium, there are several recent additions that many alumni have not yet seen.

“Reunion weekends provide space for our community to come together and encourage each other as we see how God is at work through the ACU family,” Fisher said. “Our alumni are doing incredible work all over the world.”

Homecoming is a time that alumni can break from what they are doing around the world and reunite to catch up with old classmates and friends that they have not seen in years.
