The women’s basketball team played against the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders for the title of Southland Conference champion on Sunday. After losing their lead late in the game, the Wildcats defeated the Islanders 69-68. They earned the title of conference champion, as well as a trip to the NCAA tournament.
