The volleyball team lost in straight sets against the Houston Baptist Huskies on Tuesday night.
They are currently on a three game losing streak. They are 3-8 in the Southland Conference and have dropped down to 11th place in the standings.
In the first set against the Huskies, the Wildcats lost 22-25. In the second not much was different losing 21-25 and in the last set the Wildcats lost 12-25.
Marybeth Sandercox, senior outside hitter and right side, and Kennedy Shelstead, senior middle blocker, lead the team with eight kills. Lorin McNeil, junior middle blocker, lead the team with with three blocks and Madison Rohre, sophomore setter, lead the team with 27 assists.
The Wildcats have five more conference games left, and if they want a shot at the conference tournament they must bump up to 8th place.
Volleyball will play their next game against Sam Houston State in Moody Coliseum on Nov. 2 at 1 p.m..
