The Wildcat football team opened its season against the University of Texas at El Paso Miners on Saturday night in El Paso. After a close first half, the Miners defeated the Wildcats 17-13, leaving the Wildcats standing 0-1 as they prepare to face Army West Point in New York on Oct. 3.
