Gallery: Matilda welcomes alumni during Homecoming Weekend

October 14, 2023 by Daniel Curd and Sarah Thompson

ACU Theatre welcomed alumni by hosting the Homecoming Musical, Matilda, this weekend. This was the first musical at the newly renovated Boone Family Theatre after the extensive renovations, which caused last year’s musical to be hosted at the Abilene Convention Center. The department brought to life the beloved characters and storyline of the iconic musical by Roald Dahl.

"Ending my college education early was always the plan for me, but the things that I have been able to see, experience and examine about ACU’s community were not. I have found immense growth in ACU over the past three and a half years, but ACU still has a long road to climb if it wants to keep catering to students as the world changes around them."
