Football defeated No. 2 Tarleton State, 31–28, on a walk-off 47-yard field goal Saturday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium. The Homecoming matchup marked ACU’s seventh straight Homecoming win and handed the Texans their first loss of the season. The Wildcats took a 28–10 lead into the fourth quarter, but Tarleton tied the game with under a minute to play. Quarterback Stone Earle then connected with Itty Henry on a 38-yard pass to set up kicker Bradon Perez for the game-winner.
