WWE Live took place on Saturday at the Taylor County Expo Center, featuring some of the biggest names in the business as headliners: Ronda Rousey, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

WWE Live tours cities throughout the country to give fans a live experience. It can be hard for fans to travel an hour for a show like Monday Night Raw or Smackdown Live on weeknights.

“I had seen it on television a lot when I was younger, so when my friend told me about it I had to go,” said Chris Garcia, senior kinesiology major from McKinney. “We felt like little kids again, so much, as a house we bought the WWE video game together.”

So far through  her WWE career, Ronda Rousey has not been shy about defending her WWE Raw Women’s Championship belt. Saturday was no different, Rousey went up against her arch-rival Nia Jax with the title on the line for the city of Abilene to see.

On nationally televised events, it is less common for titles to be on the line for every match involving a champion, but in WWE Live, every match involving a champion holds a title on the line. That does not mean that the title is likely to change hands.
