The baseball team came back from a 12-2 Game 1 beating Friday to win the next two games, 6-1 and 10-4 in its Lone Star Conference South Division opening series over West Texas A&M this weekend.

ACU’s Coy Polk took the loss in Game 1 behind an offense that only generated four hits.

The Cats rebounded in Game 2, however, as Ben Brockman pitched a complete game, 11-strikeout performance.

Aaron Lawler was the winning pitcher in Game 3 Saturday, while Dan Gubbels went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI.

ACU is 8-8 overall and 2-1 in LSC South play.
