The Provost Search Committee narrowed the search for a new university Provost down to two, according to an e-mail Dr. Royce Money, president of the university, sent Monday.
Dr. Rob Stewart, Interim Vice Provost at Texas Tech University, and Dr. Jeanine Varner, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, are the two finalists the Provost Search Committee recommended after several weeks of interviews and deliberations.
Both candidates will meet with faculty and various groups on campus during the week after spring break.
“As we move toward a decision, I ask for your prayers that God will bless the candidates, the discernment of the search committee and the future of ACU,” Money said in the e-mail.
The hunt for a new Provost began after the current provost, Dr. Dwayne VanRheenan, announced his plans to retire in October.
