The eleventh president of Abilene Christian University will be no stranger to the campus. Dr. Rick Lytle, dean of the College of Business Administration, and Dr. Phil Schubert, executive vice president for the university, were named as the two finalists for the office of ACU president Monday morning.
Although “the search has been national in scope” and a “substantial amount” of potential candidates were from outside the university, said Don Crisp, chair of the presidential search advisory committee, the search led committee members to two, “widely-respected” internal candidates. Dr. Royce Money, president of the university, will accept the role of chancellor in May when the eleventh president takes office.
