The AT&T Learning Studio is officially open for business after a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday afternoon.
Dr. Phil Schubert, president of the university; Dr. Kyle Dickson, director of the studio; and Xavier Williams, AT&T senior vice president, public sector and healthcare, cut the ribbon, declaring the center open for use by ACU students and faculty.
After nine months of construction and a $1.8 million contribution from AT&T, the studio offers audio and video studios, collaboration rooms with whiteboards and networked computers, a fully-staffed Speaking Center, media and mobility specialists and equipment available for check-out. It also features two 3-D TVs and a studio with green screen.
“The new AT&T Learning Studio was carefully designed to explore the ways we live, learn and communicate in a digital world,” Dickson said during Monday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This milestone in ACU’s history is not just about the facility or the campus, Schubert said. Instead, he said it’s a reminder of the importance of being engaged in education.
