A grass fire scorched 75 acres North of Abilene, near Highway 351 behind the Walmart and Coca-Cola plant. The fire was quickly contained by emergency crews from Abilene, the U.S. Forestry Service and the Texas Forestry Service responded and were able to quickly contain the fire. No injuries or property damage were reported.
