What does ACU mean to me?
ACU is a legacy. My parents studied and met here on campus. One thing led to another, and I was born. In some sense, I wouldn’t be here if it were not for ACU.
ACU is also a chance for me to show my parents that I can survive without them. I love them to bits, and this is my chance to show them that they raised me right.
ACU is a second home. I may not have as many connections here as I do in Thailand (especially since my parents are halfway across the world), but due to my parents and sister being at ACU first, I have connections if I need to do laundry, talk to someone or get off campus. It’s comforting to know that even when I’m becoming an independent adult, there’s someone to catch me when I fail at being an adult.
Lastly, ACU is a clean slate. As a freshman, no one knows me here. I can be whoever I want. From wild and silly to shy and calm, I get to make new first impressions.
