The Grammy-nominated Eli Young Band will play at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Abilene Civic Center.
Tickets are available online for $25 or on the day of the show for $30 at the Civic Center. Doors open at 7 p.m., and anyone 18 or over is welcome. The opening act for the show will be Texas country artist William Clark Green.
The Eli Young Band is a country music band made up of members Mike Eli (lead vocals/guitar), James Young (guitar), Jon Jones (bass guitar) and Chris Thompson (drums). The group was formed in 2000 after its members met at the University of North Texas in Denton.
The band has numerous accolades including a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, three No. 1 hits on Billboard‘s country airplay chart and an Academy of Country Music Award for Song of the Year for their 2011 hit “Crazy Girl.”
The Eli Young Band brings contemporary and traditional country together to produce a sound that is perfect for a die-hard country fan or those just starting to wade into the genre.
