McAlister’s Deli in Abilene will no longer be participating in the company’s offer of a free gallon of sweet tea on Tuesdays.
April 17 will be the last day of free tea day at both locations in Abilene because the free item caused congested traffic for both stores.
In order to get a gallon of tea, customers must pick up at the drive thru. The tea is free of charge unless customers are wanting flavored tea, then there is a charge for the flavor.
“Be patient in the line,” said Cameron Zenghaus, assistant manager at the N Judge Ely Blvd location.
