Abilene Young Professionals (AYP) will host a networking event at Wildcat Stadium on Thursday.
AYP is a program of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce dedicated to helping establish a young professional community in the Big Country. AYP is led by young professionals to attract, retain and engage other young professionals.
AYP hosts After Five every month, an event for connecting young professionals with mentors and other young adults and have community time with catered food. This is the first time in its two years of existence that After Five will be held at Anthony Field in Wildcat Stadium. Young adults can meet the coaching staff of the football team, while socializing with peers during a tour of Wildcat Stadium. For first time visitors and AYP members, there is no entry charge, but the price is $10 for non-members.
Marketing and events specialist Laurin Kocurek said AYP has created a sense of community for the 21-40-year-old demographic in the Abilene area.
“With over 530 young professionals from across the Big Country, AYP has multiple opportunities and ways you can make friends and further your career,” she said.
Whether you’re an upperclassman, graduate or a young adult between 21 and 40, AYP is a place to find community and support.
