Incarnate Word ruins Wildcats’ return home

The Incarnate Word Cardinals handed ACU its second-straight loss Saturday evening in Wildcat Stadium with a score of 44-34.

With the loss the Wildcats are now 2-3 overall and 1-2 in conference, while the Cardinals move to 2-2 this season and 2-0 in Southland play.

Redshirt sophomore quarterback Luke Anthony completed 35 passes out of 55 attempts with 345 yards and three touchdowns.

Junior transfer running back Billy McCrary continued his impressive season with 128 rushing yards and a touchdown. His fellow running back, freshman Tyrese White, caught two touchdown passes from Anthony.

UIW senior running back Ra’Quanne Dickens was tough to stop tonight as he gained 121 yards and scored two touchdowns. He broke off yet another long run tonight scoring a 66-yard touchdown just before halftime.

ACU hits the road again next week as the team goes to Louisiana to face McNeese at 6 p.m. next Saturday.
