Gallery: Learning Studio throws 15th annual FilmFest gala

The Learning Studio hosted the 15th annual FilmFest gala at the Paramount Theater on Friday evening. Nine films were showcased by eleven students. The winning films include:

  • Best Picture – “The Brotherhood”
  • People’s Choice – “He Loves Me?”
  • Best Director – Rankin Dean, “Sacred Space”
  • Best Producer – Hannah Raymond, “The Brotherhood”
  • Best Writer – Austin Allison, “Dodge”
  • Best Editor – Bianca Barrientos, “He Loves Me?”
  • Best Cinematography – Rankin Dean,”The Brotherhood”
  • Best Production Designer – Hannah Raymond, Rankin Dean, “Sacred Space”
  • Best Sound Designer – Takuma Tsuneki, “Fever”
  • Best Actor – Corban Gilliland, “The Brotherhood”
  • Best Actress – Zula Nicole Pryor, “He Loves Me?”
  • Best Ensemble Cast – “Sacred Space”

My second year at ACU was full of opportunities that grew me as an individual and a journalist.

In my first year as editor in chief of @acuoptimist, we published six print issues, filmed a 3-hour live election show, and revamped our newscast, all while producing news weekly.
