Homecoming 2019 Co-Chair and Steering Committee applications close soon

Applications for Homecoming Co-Chair and Homecoming Steering Committee are open but are closing quickly.

Working alongside the Alumni Relations office, Homecoming Co-Chairs help put-on Homecoming. As a member of this team, students are given the opportunity to plan events for Homecoming 2019.

These students are expected to be dedicated to their work, ambitious to fulfill the needs set ahead, and are willing to exert the effort in making this the most memorable week of the fall semester.

Co-Chairs plan around 2-3 events and also serve as the leaders of the Steering Committee.

After applications have been submitted, this team will gather to select the members of the Steering Committee. Then, as the fall semester begins, both selected teams will meet together once a week in addition to meeting with the Alumni Relations staff at a separate time each week.

Above all, the expectations of this role are for full commitment to Homecoming weekend. Co-Chairs will be involved in traditions such as the Homecoming Queens Kidnapping and will also be given the opportunity to speak, as a group, at the Friday Homecoming Chapel.

Applications for this role close at 5 p.m. Friday, April 5.

As far as contributing to Homecoming by hands-on service, the Homecoming Steering Committee brings to life the fullness of Homecoming Week by preparing for the weekend events and also managing logistics for all Homecoming events.

This vital role comprises of students who are willing to put in time, effort, and are dedicated to making Homecoming week memorable for all. The Steering Committee is directed by the Homecoming Co-Chairs and will additionally be under the supervision of Alumni Relations staff.

Applications for Homecoming Steering Committee close at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 16.

Homecoming week and weekend are some of ACU’s most treasured times of the year as many former graduates, families, and guests come to share in the celebration of this noteworthy school, especially for the accomplishments observed over this past year.
