Gallery: Women’s basketball eliminated by Vaqueros in crushing second-round tourney exit

The women’s basketball team made its first-ever appearance in the Western Athletic Conference basketball tournament against the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros in Las Vegas Wednesday afternoon. The fifth-seed Wildcats received a first-round bye, giving them Tuesday afternoon off. After a closely-paced game, the Wildcats fell to the Vaqueros 70-73, leaving their final conference standings at 9-9 for the season.
