Gallery: Annual FilmFest Gala returns to the Paramount Theater

The Learning Studio presented its 18th annual FilmFest Gala at the historic Paramount Theater on Thursday evening. The event was open to the ACU community and attendees watched several student-created short films. This year’s winning films included:

  • Best Picture – “Face Down”
  • People’s Choice – “Sola Nocte”
  • Best Director – Kaden Vasquez, “Face Down”
  • Best Producer – Jael Morel, “To the Moon”
  • Best Writer – Ryland Mallett, “Face Down”
  • Best Editor – Kaden Vasquez, “Face Down”
  • Best Cinematography – Tres Cox, “Sola Nocte”
  • Best Production Designer – Lettie Jane Myers, “Ruby Letters”
  • Best Sound Designer – Katie Pantoja, “To the Moon”
  • Best Actor – Hayden Casey, “Face Down”
  • Best Actress – Chloe Munson, “Face Down”

Royce Clough and Jael Morel have been named as Mr. and Miss ACU for the class of 2022, a traditional honor voted on by the student body and awarded to two members of each graduating class.
