With talents abounding, Savannah Mora hopes to utilize her skills as she pursues a degree in communication disorders to become a speech-language pathologist.
“My interesting talents are dance, the ability to play the cello and a little bit of the bass guitar, and … I used to teach kids how to dance,” she said.
In her field, Mora can incorporate these talents into therapy sessions with her clients. Utilizing a clinician’s talents during a session is said to be a great way to improve the quality of the session in a way that is effective for both the client and the clinician.
“Dance is such a great way to express everything that you can’t say out loud,” she said. “If I did use dance in this field, I would use it as an exercise.”
As Mora starts her journey here at ACU, she said she is excited to help people and teach in a way that makes a difference. She said the sense of community is what brought her to start this next chapter as a wildcat.
“What inspired me to choose ACU was probably the sense of community and the idea that I could go to a school with people that share the same beliefs,” she said. “I’ve always wanted to have more Christian friends and be in a place where talking about God is a norm.”
