Softball fell to No. 2 Texas Tech 9-1 on Tuesday at Poly Wells Field, highlighted by a pair of double plays and strong defensive moments in front of more than 800 fans. The Wildcats held the Red Raiders scoreless across three innings and turned multiple double plays in a game for the first time this season. Jadyn Dawson, freshman infielder from Murphy, drove in ACU’s lone run with a sacrifice fly, while the Wildcats finished with three hits. The team will travel to Tarleton State for a series beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
