The senior class will decide Wednesday what its class gift will be.
Senior class senators and some of the Students’ Association executive officers narrowed the list down to two choices: money to go toward a future lighted jogging track for students or a new student scholarship.
Seniors will have the opportunity to vote for the gift Wednesday in senior Chapel.
SA executive secretary Suzie MacKenzie said the senior class gift is a healthy process for graduating students.
“It’s a good experience for everyone,” said MacKenzie, senior computer science major from Fort Worth. “The senior class gift gives students a chance to start giving back to ACU.”
MacKenzie said the committee considered other options but decided the jogging track and the scholarship would be the most beneficial.
“We discussed a few other options and looked around campus at senior gifts from the past, but we wanted to do something else,” MacKenzie said.
The class of 2003 voted to help raise funds for the track. The seniors last year chose it because it will benefit ACU students for years to come, said Brandon Carter, that class’s president.
