Rain that continued to pound Abilene and the ACU campus last weekend and this week put off the intramural football schedule for another few days.

The football playoffs, which have been postponed for the last three weeks, are expected to resume on Thursday, go through the weekend and finish up on Monday and Tuesday.

“We’re just kind of waiting on the weather,” intramurals coordinator Danny Kittley said.

Since football was pushed back, the basketball season has been moved from the fall semester to the spring semester.

“We do not have time to get basketball in with the three-week delay in football,” Kittley said. “We’ll have plenty of time to get it in come January.”
