Volunteer Opportunities for Jan. 31, 2003

The ACU-Abilene Independent School District Reading Partnership needs volunteers to tutor a child one hour a week. Specific times are available from the Volunteer and Service-Learning Center.

Volunteers are needed to watch children during Lectureship activities Feb. 23-26.

Hope Haven Too needs volunteers to answer phones, facilitate security and assist the staff.

Food Bank of Abilene needs volunteers to clean and stock shelves with canned goods.

Christ’s Prison Fellowship needs volunteers to participate in devotionals with inmates. Volunteers are also needed to watch a movie with a small group of inmates.

Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver lunch to shut-ins and the elderly.

Adult Protective Services needs volunteers to help with inventory tracking and restocking.

For more information on any of these opportunities, contact the Volunteer & Service-Learning Center at Ext. 2932.
