Volunteer Opportunities for March 21, 2003

Just People needs volunteers to work with young people to help them get a GED.

YMCA needs youth sports officials for soccer and flag football. Volunteers are needed Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Day Nursery of Abilene needs volunteers to help cook and clean in the kitchen for their Annual Mexican Dinner on March 22.

Serenity Foundations of Abilene needs volunteers to enter data into their computer.

An algebra tutor is needed for a 16-year-old high school student.

A 6th grade Lincoln Middle school student needs a tutor to help in his studies.

“SHINE” is Saturday, April 12. Save the date for ACU for Abilene Service Day.

The Abilene Zoo needs volunteers to help on the weekends with special events.

Jacob’s Well needs volunteers to bake goods with the girls of Jacob’s Well every Friday during the month of March.

Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver meals to the elderly during the lunch hour.

For more information about these opportunities, call the Volunteer & Service-Learning Center at Ext. 2932.
