An Abilene apartment complex was completely destroyed by fire, leaving all the residents homeless and with only the clothes on their backs. The Salvation Army is helping with receiving donated items, sorting them and distributing them to those in need and they need many volunteers to help in this effort.

Trash Bash 2003 is Dead Day, May 5, noon–8 p.m. at the Intramural Field Parking Lot. Recycle bottles, cans, paper or even furniture, clothes or shoes. Join us at the Trash Bash to recycle all of your old junk and receive a free Cajun cone while you are there (to the first 300 donors).
