Kojies, GSP and Sophomores win Sing Song ’09

February 20, 2009 by Optimist Staff

Ko Jo Kai won its second-straight Sing Song, and Gamma Sigma Phi returned to its winning ways Saturday night when the Sing Song co-chairs announced the winners of the 53rd annual traditional ACU singing competition.

The sophomore class, which placed third in the vocal category, second in the entertainment category and first in the audience favorite category, won the mixed voices division with their show, “Flight of the Sophomores.”

Galaxy earned second place overall, and Frater Sodalis claimed third place in the men’s division. In the women’s division, the women of Sigma Theta Chi were second place, and Alpha Kai was close behind with a third place finish.

In the mixed voices division, the freshman class finished second, and the senior class show, “Ask not What Brown Can Do For You…Ask what you can do for the Red, White and Blue,” was good enough to secure third place for the group dress as mailmen.
