The Cabinet will host its first Putt Putt Night from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday.
This is the first putt putt event since The Cabinet was rebooted in the spring semester of 2017. It will be free to all students.
“The goal of this event is to give ACU students an opportunity to get exposed to the Abilene community and provide a fun, free event that many students may not get to do very often,” said Garrison Powell, junior biochemistry major and Cabinet student director from Hallettsville.
Throughout every semester, each Cabinet director is responsible for putting on one event. Powell said that he’s been planning the putt putt event since he was appointed.
“What is unique about Abilene is that there are so many small local businesses that many of the new, and maybe even older students don’t know about,” said Powell. “That’s why I love being able to put this event on–because it is also great publicity for smaller businesses such as Play Faire Park.”
The event will be held at Play Faire Park, and The Toasted Traveller will be serving free food to the first 100 students in attendance.
