The Virtual Career Fair will be available online from April 15-22.
The Virtual Career Fair is an online recruiting event where employers showcase jobs and internships.
“It’s convenient for your busy schedule, and you don’t have to dress up,” said Jill Fortson, director of the ACU Career Center.
The fair is free for all students and alumni from ACU, Hardin-Simmons, McMurry, Cisco, Howard Payne, Angelo State, Texas State and Dyess Air Force Base.
Over 28 companies are currently registered to participate in the career fair. However, the companies are not all based out of Abilene. Businesses from Austin, San Antonio, Ft. Worth and Salt Lake City will also be participating.
Brooke Nichols, event and media specialist coordinator for the Career Center, believes there is no reason for someone not to try the career fair.
“Its virtual, administered completely online and it’s free,” she said.
You register by logging in to your College Central Network account and clicking on the link provided in the event announcements. Once registered, students will be able to view the variety of job-fair listings, post a resumé on the site or apply directly through the employers’ websites.
Students will be able to access the career fair 24 hours a day for seven days and interact with employers regarding job opportunities.
Registration for students will open Wednesday at http://www.collegecentral.com/wctcc.
