“I’m excited to see our team play together,” said senior Danielle Otto. “Every game we’ve gotten better, we have worked toward what the coaches have taught us and I’m ready to see the outcome of our hard work.”
The North Texas women boast a perfect 2-0-0 record. Their wins came against Incarnate Word 4-0 and ORU 1-0. ACU hosted UNT in the first game ever played at the new Elmer Gray stadium. The Wildcats will be looking to set the record straight as they fell in that constest, 3-0.
“We need to stay composed and play our game,” said Otto. “We can’t let the other teams affect us, we need to make them adjust to our game.”
UNT is also on the verge of breaking into the North Soccer Coaches Association of America national top 25, as they received votes after a perfect first week. The Mean Green will be the Wildcats first road test of the season.
