Local nonprofit agencies will set up booths in the Campus Center Jan. 29 and 30 during the 2003 ACU Service Expo. They will provide students with information on how to get involved and volunteer this semester.
The ACU-Abilene Independent School District Reading Partnership needs volunteers to tutor a child one hour a week.
Volunteers are needed to watch children during Lectureship activities Feb. 23-26.
Healing Hands International needs volunteers to help sort, count and pack medical supplies that will be sent all over the world.
Hope Haven Too needs volunteers to answer phones, facilitate security and assist the staff.
The Food Bank of Abilene needs volunteers to clean and stock shelves with canned goods.
Christ’s Prison Fellowship needs volunteers to participate in devotionals with inmates. Volunteers are also needed to watch movies with a small group of inmates.
Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver lunch to shut-ins and the elderly.
Adult Protective Services needs volunteers to help with inventory tracking and restocking.
