Another round of frigid temperatures and a chance of snow is in the forecast for Abilene Tuesday night and Wednesday.
A mixture of rain and sleet is expected to fall before 3 a.m. early Wednesday. The precipitation is then expected to change over to snow after 3 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Between 1 and 2 inches of snow are expected. The snow is expected to continue into Wednesday morning with an additional inch of snow accumulation possible.
The cold front will also bring very cold temperatures to the region. Tuesday night’s low is forecasted to fall to 14 degrees. Tomorrow’s high is only projected to reach 24 degrees. Wednesday night, the low temperature is forecasted to plummet to 6 degrees.
Thursday’s high temperature is forecasted to top out at 34 degrees.
