Photo Gallery: Bus crash claims life of student, injures many

November 4, 2011 by Optimist Staff

16 students and faculty from the ACU Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences were traveling to the Medina Children’s Home for their annual service trip. Their bus drifted off the highway, flipped end-over-end into the right-hand ditch and landed on it’s wheels with almost the entire body ripped away from the frame. Anabel Reid, 19, sophomore environmental science major from Petersburg, was pronounced dead at the scene. All others were transported to hospitals in Abilene, San Angelo and Ballinger.
