ReviveTX reaches out to Abilene Middleton Prison

April 11, 2019 by Bryce Lurkens

ReviveTX is visiting Abilene Middleton Prison with a mission to share the gospel with the inmates from April 20-21.

ReviveTx start in Richardson 11 years ago. Their organization’s mission statement is to see communities renewed by the power of the gospel.

Since ReviveTX’s founding, they have expanded their reach to 14 different states, as they share the gospel and hit the streets for Jesus.

Their organization desires to equip the body of Christ in communities throughout Texas to seek the Lord and preach His word.

According to Wade Aaron, the ReviveTX director, their group has been making substantial progress in Abilene.

“We have been working with the city and churches of Abilene for almost a year and half,” said Aaron. “We initially engaged the prison with an outreach week we did in Abilene in September of 2018.”

Aaron said that this will be their second trip to the prison, and that he hopes even more can be accomplished in the future. He also said the team is confident and excited for what is in store for their visit.

Aaron said that while they will not have a specific agenda to stick to while at the prison, he just hopes that God will lead their words as they minister and preach to the inmates during their time there.

“We have always had a specific mission statement,” Aaron said. “We want to equip the saints, reach the lost and disciple the new believers.”

Aaron said that he is ready to see what God has in store for the prison later this month.

“We will be trying to minister to as many of the inmates as we can later this April,” Aaron said. “Our main focus while we are there is to have a time of prayer and share the love of Christ.”
