Police Log: Burnt food causes fire in Dillard Hall

2/2/2025 1700 hrs. Criminal Trespass Warning, ACU Off-Campus Housing

ACUPD responded to a domestic disturbance in an ACU-owned off-campus house. It was determined no crime occurred but the resident wanted the other involved party trespassed from her residence. ACU PD issued a criminal trespass warning to the other individual. 

2/3/2025 1900 hrs. Criminal Mischief, Wessel Hall Lot

An unknown suspect wrote profanity on the back of an ACU student’s vehicle. The words were written in the dirt on the victim’s vehicle so there was no permanent damage. The investigation is ongoing to find the suspect.

1/30/2025 0930 hrs. Hit and Run, ACU DR South 

An ACU student reported her vehicle was struck by another vehicle while parked on ACU Dr South. The suspect did not leave information. An investigation was completed and the suspect was identified. The suspect was issued a citation for leaving the scene of an accident without leaving the required information. 

1/29/2025 1330 hrs. Investigation, Dillard Hall

ACUPD responded to investigate a fire that occurred in Dillard Hall the previous weekend. A report was completed for Clery compliance. No property damage occurred but a flame was visible. The cause was determined to be burnt food.

The Optimist and ACUTV partnered together to produce a 3-hour live election show on Tuesday night. A team of 25 students worked for weeks preparing while doing research and interviews with guests like Dr. Phil Schubert and Rep. Stan Lambert.
