Volunteer Opportunities for Nov. 20, 2002

Donations for Thanksgiving Meals will be due into the Volunteer & Service-Learning Center on Thursday. If you would like to donate stop by the ticket windows today.

Volunteer babysitters are needed from 5:45-9:45 p.m. Dec. 3 for children of ACU staff and faculty. Babysitting will take place at Highland Church of Christ while staff and faculty attend the annual holiday event.

The Salvation Army needs lots of volunteers to help with a vriety of Christmas projects. They include sorting toys, working with the Angel Tree, and ringing bells.

Day Nursery of Abilene needs volunteers to help unload Krispy Kreme doughnuts to sale as a fundraiser.

Crime Victim Crisis Center needs volunteers to present educational classes to children and teenagers.

American Heart Association needs volunteers to make Public Service Announcements.

Highland Colonial Apt. Ministry needs volunteers to tutor children with disabilities on Thursday afternoons.

Noah Project needs volunteers to work the front desk and answer crisis hotline phone.

Christ’s Prison Fellowship needs male volunteers to eat meals with small group of paolees and participate in devo with inmates.

Boys and Girls Club of Abilene needs volunteers to tutor children with homework and help with after school program activities.

The House That Kerry Built needs volunteers to help with daycare of medically fragile children.

Spring Season needs volunteers to play games and help elderly with activities.

Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver meals during the lunch hour to elderly and shut-ins.

Healing Hands International needs volunteers to sort medical supplies and work in the warehouse.
